Mona High Students Injured During Explosion Caused by Science Project Gone Wrong


Officials at the Mona High School in St Andrew are this morning trying to come to terms with an incident that led to the injury of several students and at least one teacher at the institution on Thursday.

Reports circulating are that the students were injured in a science project gone wrong.

Police sources report that students were in the chemistry lab on Thursday evening when a loud explosion was heard.

Teachers and other school officials went to check and the students were found with cuts and bruises believed to be from broken glass.

They were rushed to hospital where they are being treated.

Several attempts to contact Mona High School principal Kevin Jones were futile up to publication time.
