Police say they now have one man in custody in connection to the murder of a 73-year-old man in the parish of Clarendon on Monday.
The dead man has been identified as Samuel Salmon.
Reports are that at about 6:30 a.m. residents went to a premises in the Rose Hall section of the parish to look for Mr Salmon and during a search of the property the body of the senior citizen was found with multiple chop wounds.
The police were called to the area and the body removed.
One man who was seen at the property has since been taken into custody for questioning.
Sources claim that the suspect is the son of the victim.
